User scenarios

Week 6

User scenarios are they stories your personas act out, scenarios are basically thoughts and exercises in which you predict how certain types of users represented as your personas will interact with your website in a given situation, in order to complete a given goal. User scenarios let you understand what future users will look for when trying to complete tasks on your site. They let you test your site before its fully developed and isolate problems before they become problems. Scenarios are very detailed and should at the very least outline the who, what, when, where, why and how.

A scenario is a narrative describing foreseeable interactions of types of users and the system. Scenarios include information about goals, expectations, motivations, actions and reactions. They are neither predictions nor forecasts, but rather attempts to reflect on or portray the way in which a system is used in the context of daily activity.

It is importing to understand the process in using a persona and context to drive a design. Basicity by creating these scenarios your users would face it allows you to better your system before it is properly realised at no cost of unhappy users.
