Week 2
Process
Map out the concepts and ideas using basic processes, pen and paper, sticky notes.
Content
Need to understand:
- What people are trying to do
- How they may try to do it
- What gets in the way or helps
- Where they might be doing it
Understand the motivation for and the context of a person’s behaviour so we can create interactive designs that facilitate these behaviours.
Questions to ask to help create content
- What’s the setting or environment in which the interface or the device will be used?
- Who will be using the device or interface? (one or multiple)
- How long will the interface be used?
- Does the experience need to be extremely simple?
- What are the persons goals? (trying to accomplish or complete)
- What’s the urgency?
When creating an interactive design, we need to know what the person wants so we can design a successful design interface.
